Nature Based Therapy

Nature Based Therapy is a therapeutic modality that creates a profound sensory experience. The natural environment, in many ways mimics our internal psychological state, allowing for the opportunity to rediscover who we are & to feel a sense of connection, belonging & meaning. Reconnecting our roots in nature increases ecological intelligence, creativity, imagination, increased sensory, supports healing, self discovery, sense of peace & rebalancing

Nature Based Therapy has proven to be a beneficial treatment modality for anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health disorders by ongoing evidence based research.

A typical virtual session that includes Nature Based Therapeutic interventions may include, guided imagery, sensory awareness, journaling and mindfulness as part of our session time.

Individuals who are located in or near York, Maine may request an in-person nature based session. In-person sessions may include gentle to moderate physical movement, connecting with nature, sensory awareness and exploration, mindfulness, & journaling alongside traditional talk therapy.

Each therapeutic session is individually designed to meet personalized needs.
